The Current World of Out of Home and Digital Advertising

    Advertising is a pivotal part of our lives. A person cannot do a task without being intercepted with some sort of advertisement. This could range from a blatant  in your face ad, to just something pertaining to a product.




       When a person leaves their home, all different forms of advertising cross their path. Out of Home advertising is one of the oldest ways to advertise, and it is the best way to reach a greater number of viewers, for a lower cost. Now that you know this, you are probably wondering, "What classifies as Out of Home"?  The best way to define out of home advertising is essentially all type of advertising that tries to reach the consumer while he or she is not at home. So yes, you guessed it, billboards are the main form as out of home advertising, but out of home can range from anything from stickers to a public demonstration.


 
 
 
 
 
 
      Out of home has been the resource for advertisers since the beginning of time, but in modern times, but new more profitable forms of advertising have appeared. The advancement into the digital age is among us. The digital revolution is often compared to Gutenberg's perfection of the printing press(pg.335). So with this new ability to reach thousands within minutes has changed the game of advertising. Interactive advertisement's plague  every social media website, and now even games are evolving into advertisement's.
 
 
 
 
   Now a big part of advertising is the feeling of making the consumer  feel as if they were apart of your ad. Interactive advertising not only gets your product out there but it also will bring a new market that may have not been interested in your ad before. This new market may just want to try the interactive ad for the fun of it, the feeling of involvement warms any humans heart.

  The best way to define the world is constantly changing. With a new day comes a new idea, from a new person. New forms of advertising will be developed and the market will still be in awe from the new developments being made. People are just waiting for the next big thing in advertising.
